Panettone
is the popular Italian Christmas bread
which is quite similar to a fruitcake and is a traditional item made during the
holiday season. It is baked as tall and cylindrical shape bread which was
originated in the late 1400s. if you too want to make this on this Christmas,

How
to make Italian Christmas bread?
1.
In order to make a marinated fruit mix 1/3 cup each of golden raisins, dried
tart cherries, and chopped dried apricots and ¼ cup of triple sec or orange
juice in a small bowl and let it remain for an hour. Drain it to separate fruit
and liqueur.

Make dough by dissolving yeast and ¼ tbsp of granulated sugar and let it remain
for 5 minutes. Add some flour in a dry cup and level it with a knife. Combine ½
cup of flour with ¼ cup of warm water, fat free milk, granulated sugar, ½
teaspoon salt, 6 tbsp butter and 3 ¾ cups flour in a bowl and beat in mixer
till smooth. Add yeast mixture with ½ cup flour and then stir the marinated
fruit 2 ½ cup flour and some pine nuts. Knead it well till smooth.

Cover the dough and let it remain for 1 ½ hours till it rises. Punch the dough
down and let it remain for 5 minutes. Mae balls and put in coffee cans and coat
it with cooking spray. Cover it and allow to rise for 1 hour.
4.
Preheat the oven to 375 degree and uncover dough. Place these cans on the
bottom rack of oven and bake it for 30 minutes and then remove bread from the
can. Sprinkle some turbinado sugar.
